I charge a day rate and any travel and accommodation required. At the start of the engagement there is a discussion about roughly how long the work will take, with frequent progress reviews once under way. I do not work on a fixed fee per project basis because it can cause issues when there are changes to scope or other unforeseen events such as a sudden lack of availability of key project resources.

Typically I will oversee the delivery of it, writing the brief and working with the business and the specialist supplier to manage the process if appropriate. The supplier bills the business directly, I do not add a mark up or handling fee.

No. A project can relate to a specific part of a growth challenge. If the initial work highlights issues in other areas of the business which need addressing, we can discuss this.

No. If I do not think I could genuinely help the business grow or the issue is outside my area of focus, such as supply chain or IT systems, I would decline the work.
